Basic recipe
Per 1kg cake mix
400g water
Instructions
Weigh the required amount of cake mix to a bowl fitted with a beater.
Add half the water over 2 minutes on slow speed, scrape down the bowl and mix for 3 minutes on medium speed.
Scrape the bowl down again.
Add the remaining water over 2 minutes on slow speed, scrape down the bowl and mix for a further 3 minutes on medium speed.
Bake as normal sponge 150 deg. C

15cm (6 inch) round 350g of cake batter
20cm (8 inch) round 500g of cake batter
25cm (10 inch) round 770g of cake batter
30cm (12 inch) round 1300g of cake batter
