Windsor 1kg Vanilla Cake Mix

Why use our cake mix?

Just add water! All our own brand mixes just need to addition of water, this will save time and costs on your baking.
Made in the UK. Our cake mixes are made here in the UK in a factory that we inspect regularly.
Great flavour! Of course, they are regularly sampled by ourselves!

Mix to water ratio - 1kg cake mix : 400ml water

Instructions:

Weigh the required amount of cake mix to a bowl fitted with a beater.

Add half the water over 2 minutes on slow speed, scrape down the bowl and mix for 3 minutes on medium speed.

Scrape the bowl down again.

Add the remaining water over 2 minutes on slow speed, scrape down the bowl and mix for a further 3 minutes on medium speed.

Bake as normal sponge 150 deg. C

Scaling

Approx. depth per layer - 4 cm (1 ½ inches)

15cm (6 inch) round 350g of cake batter

20cm (8 inch) round 500g of cake batter

25cm (10 inch) round 770g of cake batter

30cm (12 inch) round 1300g of cake batter

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A GUIDE ONLY TO MAKING THE PRODUCT AND MAY BE ADJUSTED TO SUIT. ADD THE WATER UNTIL YOUR DESIRED CONSISTENCY IS ACHIEVED.

Storage Instructions

Our cake mix it can be stored unopened in a cool, dark cupboard in the pantry or kitchen. Once opened, it is best to store any remaining cake mix in a fully sealed container away from any heat sources to keep it dry and prevent mould growth through moisture.

The best cake mix

Used this to bake a 4 tier wedding cake, the sponge is beautiful and all of the guests at the wedding commented on how delicious it was. Will definitely be using again

Just used this cake mixture and I was so pleased with the results, started with cup cakes, next a birthday cake, got really excited looking at the rest of products I can buy. No stopping me know!!!!

Brilliant and tastes wonderful too!

this is just a brilliant mix. Just add water and voila! when you tot up how much it costs to buy the individual ingredients this is just a "no brainer"! I got approx 28 large cupcakes out of the whole box :-) buy it you wont be disappointed - I'm going to try all the flavours now :-)

Easy to use and bake

I've bought a few other mixes before so I thought I'd try the Vanilla.
I can say without doubt that this mix is super tasty with a extra dash of vanilla essence.
I'll be using these mixes more and more as my customers love them.

Wow

Omg I cant believe it. I have just made the most perfect vanilla sponge ever using this mix. I brought the mixture so i can do my daughters birthday cake and everyone who tried it has commented on how nice, light and tasty the cake was.. you will not be disapointed. I will be buying again and again

Brilliant,good flavour and light moist cake,rises beautifully!

Made this and as I've used the mixes before was not dissapointed as I had to give mix and instructions to daughter. She also was surprised at the beautiful 'rise'. We were fondant icing it so sliced the top off with a saw and it was such a great consistancy for butter icing layer then flat fondant to finish,it looked great!This was our first attempt at a flat iced cake for a birthday and we weren't dissapointed!Thankyou for your great service too- the receptionist even helped when I hit the wrong button and ordered the wrong mix. 100% satisfied.

pleasing result

made up 250g and got 10 domed cupcakes. added some vanilla extract, the sponge was light and had a good texture. the best mix i have used, good stand by if you dont want to make your own.

Really pleased

Used this for a wedding cake and was extremely pleased with the result. Gave a good rise and taste and texture was lovely. Found 1kg adequate do, 10in round cake. Will definitely be using again.

Best cake mix ever.

I've been buying this cake mixture for over a year now and have had such positive feedback from all the cakes ive made, the only thing I would like is to purchase the mixture in bigger portions then they come in.

Great 5 stars

This mix is the best I have used I have very few lumps in compared to other shop mixes which mean fewer holes in baked cake. I have used every flavour and they all taste great and come out very well. All my customers have been very happy with their cakes. The only problem I have is that I would love a lemon flavour cake mix please could you please find one and start stocking asap. Thanks!!!

very easy to use - makes a very good cake - but i did sieve it before use as there are a few little lumps.
but overall good value

lovely soft and tasty sponge

The first time i used this mix i wa a bit woried as no matter how long i mixed it i couldnt get the small lumps of mix to blend completely, but i need not have worried as it cooked to perfection and the birthday cake didnt get cut into for a week and it was still fresh and melted inthe mouth, tasted as good as my home made madeira and a lot less hassle. i have just put my 3rd birthday cake using this mix into the oven and so far have only had positive comments, well worth it and i can't wait to try the chocolate one next ♥

brilliant!

So easy to mix up, just the right consistency, lovely and light. I got 35 cupcakes out of a 1kg bag using an icecream scoop so they were nice and big. I would definately use again!!
